The race for silverware in Scottish football is already heating up off the pitch, with Celtic pursuing one of Europe's most coveted young talents this summer.

The Glasgow giants are pushing hard to land Fares Ghedjemis, Frosinone's 23-year-old Algerian winger, with the Italian club holding firm at a €9.5 million asking price. While president Maurizio Stirpe has insisted Frosinone are not desperate to part with their prized asset, they remain open to listening to offers. Both Celtic and their fierce rivals Rangers—who have also been linked with the talented winger—would need to stump up an eight-figure fee to make the move happen.

Elsewhere, Celtic are also exploring the possibility of bringing young defender Benjamin Arthur back to Parkhead on another loan deal from Brentford. The 20-year-old impressed during previous spells at the club, and the English side may be willing to sanction another temporary move.

However, Celtic are taking a firmer stance on keeping their own talent close to home. Defender Dane Murray, 23, has attracted interest from Dundee, but the Scottish champions have made clear they have no intention of letting the youngster leave on loan.
